First Post- Need Tire Help

Rock-On!!

My wife drives a 2006 FX35 and at 55000 miles she has gone through two sets of the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires.
She is not an aggressive driver, but does like to cruise along above 90mph when she can….

I am looking into some other tires that will last longer than the Goodyear’s and perform well.
She and I both are also concerned about looks and performance.

I have been looking at options until my head is starting to spin.

Here are three contenders;
I would post links, but since I have less than 10 post the system won't let me.
Looks like I can't post photos either, but I bet you guys know the specs etc....

Toyo Proxes ST II

Yokohama yk 520

Nitto 420s

All three of these tires will cost about the same, so money isn’t the issue.
The real problem is that I can’t buy any of these tires at the same dealer and
each dealer that carries the selected brand claims his is the best.

Can anyone here shed some light on which of these tires would be the best choice?

Thanks in advance for your input.

yokohama parada spec-x is the way to go brotha

the stock tires that come from the dealership SUCK

+1 on Parada. Very good tires. Many here use Hankook RH06 as well. Did you consider that?

Thanks for your input.

Where in Texas are you? I know a dealership in Dallas sells the Proxes.

I am near Tyler.
I have been doing business with Discount tire for years and they carry the Yokohama yk 520 and the Nitto 420s.

The other shop that carries the Toyo Proxes ST II is an independent dealer.

Either way they both have to have the tires shipped from Dallas.
I may go ahead and have them get the Yokos, thet seem to have a good rating.

I knew my head was spinning last night..I had to go back and edit my earlier post.

The Yoko tire is the Yokohama yk 520.

Another one mentioned to me was the Falken Ziex S/TZ-04.

The Falken would actually carry a 50000 mile pro rated warranty if that means anything?

Check TireRack - their prices are often better than the Tire Superchians. Plus, they ship them to you and you can take them anywhere for install. AND - they probably carry every tire listed on this thread so far.

Ya, I got my tires from DT and they even had to ship them in. I gave them the online (DT direct) price, and I got a pretty good deal out the door.
