first 48 hours with the invidia exhaust in 09 FX35.

I'm one week with my Gemini and I love it,, especially when I start up!
Mac, take your Fx on your business date,, just don't get on it so much.
If your business partner has testicles, he'll appreciate your whip.
Some guys recommend dyna matting your trunk,, but wait a few months,,you may get to like th growl.

2K RPM on a cold start is totally normal. Mine is the same exact way. I actually like that it idles that high on a cold start because it makes the exhaust extra loud and nice lol. High idle on cold starts happen because the air/fuel mixture is weak and it just takes time for everything to adjust.
 
Hey. Anyone know if this exhaust will fit if I have a trailer hitch? I just got a 2012 FX35 Limited and want to do exhaust and a hitch, but want to make sure it'll all fit first.

^ I saw one guy with 2nd gen FX on Craigslist, was selling his Invidia because it didn't fit well with the OEM hitch, but I'm not 100% sure.
 
Thanks Zebra. I went ahead and bought an Invidia kit that was on eBay (just got it and it's in great condition), and a new Hidden Hitch, so I'll see how things fit. If anything, hopefully I can just weld spacers onto the hitch mounting points or something to allow a bit more room.
 
Installed my 'new' exhaust yesterday. Took me about 1-1/2 hrs start to finish by myself and it sounds awesome! I love it. That nice, deep, throaty sound definitely compliments the FX. Not sure if it's faster - I don't have a solid feel for the car yet with only 450 miles on the odometer (maybe that's why it was so easy to pull the original exhaust), but it sounds SO good accelerating. Bye bye gas mileage - I can't stay off the pedal. Now to see if the Hidden Hitch I just ordered will fit.

Sounds sick man but I personally think the ARK exhaust sounds better. I have the Limited Edition as well, love the color. Is it pretty loud inside with normal driving?

A couple more below. I LOVE the color of the Limited, RIP. It is a bit louder in normal driving, but not overly loud. My wife was nervous when I said I was replacing the exhaust, but she doesn't mind the deep sound - she thought it would sound like the Civics that drive around town. Hell no!

Wow ........... the sound of the Invidia sounds sooo sexxxxy :smile (2): I'm still undecided between this and the Ark but for the price difference I just may decide to get an Invidia instead ..... hhhhmmmmmmm :confused.: ????
 
Elaine IMO ARK sounds way better and suits the FX, the Invidia sounds nice but is too deep, the ARK is more throaty and sounds the best on the fx, gives a nice tone just like the stock g37 but louder. In the end it's all personal opinion on if you like real deep or throaty. MRLERRY agrees on this too and he had both on the second gen.

Haha Zebra true but that's because he lives in Irvine, cops are dicks there. I got a ticket way back for my car being to low, so that should tell you something.
