Yep, this is one of my favorite mods. Makes the FX look AMAZING at night. When following the FX behind it just looks awesome.

The install for Marek on my car took like 1/2 a day. He ran it through the trunk through the normal wire holes, so it looks like factory install, but I've never seen a harder install yet as far as getting the wires from A to B and yes the taillights were a bitch! The install was crazy. I think Marek made the comment that he is never going to do another install of these LEDs on a 2nd gen again. lol poor guy.

Why did he do it the hard way? lol

My installer just removed the tail lights and ran the wiring up through the rear bumper to the tail light area and wired it to them. Took only 3 hours.

By the way did you set yours up to work with the turn signals too?

No Marek preferred to run them like if thy would have done from factory, so he even undid wiring and wrapped this wiring with the factory wiring. You can't tell at all any mod was done. That's just the kind of work he does. I didn't specify quick way or longer way.

Sounds like a great install by Marek.

Yes it was second to none, but felt bad for the poor guy...He severely under estimated the install time.

Sound deadening project starting first thing tomorrow morning. Received by 50 sq ft roll of B-Quiet deadening today. Doing this on the 4 doors trunk and under the rear passenger seat.

Attemping this project because lately I notice alot of sound from the Bose speakers escape from the door panels and even with my volume up full blast it doesn't sound as good as it should. I also get rattles and vibrations with the bass on 5 at 75% volume. Not really doing this for road noise as I find it quiet enough inside already. But hey if it becomes whisper quiet I can't complain

Aaron, double up on latex gloves when working with the doors/materials. Best tip I can give you.

Bkjohn, when did you complete your deadening? All doors plus trunk?

I'm excited to start. Getting up bright and early. I hope I'll be able to do all 4 doors tomorrow atleast lol. Taking off the door panel is too easy.

I'm still a little confused though on why the glass to the front doors need to be taped? the x brace is just a brace. The glass won't fall down right? lol

Have fun with your project. I got a chance to see B Quiet last weekend. It was pretty thin compared to Dynamat, almost half the thickness. It will still help out though, but I think when it comes time for me to do this, I may go with the thicker Dynamat.

Notice a huge difference in interior noise levels with the b quiet installed?

And where did you install it?

This was in Handy Andy's car. He gutted the whole interior and laid B Quiet all over the floor and roof of the car, in addition to the the hatch and doors. After we assembled the car back, we took a ride on the highway. Honestly, I expected more quietness, but definitely absorbs some of the bumps and noise though, but it wasn't a huge, noticeable difference. I really think the thicker Dynamat will insulate better.

You will notice, don't want to discourage you from doing it. It's not that B Quiet is bad, it's about the thickness. Maybe you can double it up if you want it to be quieter. :rotfl:
