Hey Fire0nic3, thanks for all the tips! I just bought a black FX50S, and your tips will certainly help in keeping my car shiny and new. Too bad you're on the other side of the country, otherwise you could teach the ways of keep your black FX looking slick..

It isn't, but I still do it. I've been doing to too all of my cars for years.
I know it's against the law in Canada to leave it running.

For safety, you really should shut it down. Hot Fueling is not a great idea. 2 things I can think of.
1. the transfer of gas creates an electrical dischrge.
2. it could throw an evap code due to fueling a pressurized system.
You have nothing to lose by shutting it down, & everything to gain just in case the pump decides to ignite.

I don't know. I see signs hanging up at the gas stations saying your not allowed cell phone use while pumping gas because of possible explosions from sparks from electronic devices. Don't know if that's true or not.

According to Snopes, the story just showed up one day in 1999. And every time it got mentioned, they said the explosion happened somewhere else. So basically it’s a friend of a friend story, only in this case the friend is an explosion, and no one’s ever seen it in person.
The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association and the American Petroleum Institute both agree that phones just don’t blow things up and they’ve never seen any evidence to suggest they do. Any news reports that have attributed fires to the use of phones were later proved false when someone, you know, actually looked for the real cause.
