fire... your exhaust vid is so anti climatic... i was waiting for the revving for the whole 2 and half mins lol!

haha sorry about that!

I forgot to do some rev noises as I thought the sound of it on a cold start was good enough:skull:

I was wondering.....

I have a 2009 where the knobs of the heater/cooling seats are just plain black, plus there is that center button that is not functional (I hate when they do that especially when you have all the options). I wonder if I could get the new plate and new knobs and replace it on the 2009 with how the 2010/2011 looks? I'm not talking about the limited edition, but just the regular FX50....all I would be looking to do is go down from 3 buttons with 1 not being funcitonal to 2 buttons like this and the knobs looking better? Any ideas how possible/easy that may be? I think the buttons are still sport and snow modes and the knobs, well, not sure how compatible.

That blank button was placed there on purpose. It's where the button will be for the new standard power trunk opening and closing button for the 2011 models.

And yes you could upgrade that panel to the 2010 panel, but you have to take the entire lower console apart. And knowing Infiniti, I bet the 2010 lower knob interface costs a fortune.

Do you guys think I should black out my chrome window trim with black obsidian?:

Depends on the look you are going for...but I like the contrast it has now. On the outside, this is what I would do to your ride:

1. Tint out the front headlights and back lights. Just a light shade. My friend put a light spray coat over his other car and gives it a nice look, but I would not go very dark...just small tint to kind of match the window tint.
2. I would get some nicer rims or do something unique with them.
3. I don't see a girl in the car or a girl laying outside of it and there should be one....this should be a priority too! ;)

By the way, you said "That blank button was placed there on purpose. It's where the button will be for the new standard power trunk opening and closing button for the 2011 models. "

If they were planning on doing that, why would they remove the blank button in 2010? On top of that, if you go to Infiniti's site right now and look at pictures of the 2011 FX models, it still doesn't have the blank button. I know they are adding it in later models, but still if they were planning it, I would think they would have kept the blank button then so that doesn't make sense to me. :confused.:

I think the biggest change will be seen when you get a nice set of wheels installed and a drop.
Then you can accent your trim pieces to compliment your new wheels and FX color.

Maybe they just decided they weren't going to do a power trunk for 2010, but then changed their mind for 2011. All I know is that is what my friend told me that works at Infiniti. Cause I don't have the blank button, but I have a little change holder there instead. I think that's the only logical place to be able to put the power trunk button anyways.

There use to be a girl in my car, but no more:tongue (2):. Besides I hate my friends or anyone getting in the car now ever since someone scuffed my illuminated kick plates and scratched it. I almost thought my heart stopped when I saw that:laugh:

The rims I won't be getting rid of cause I paid extra for the option to have the 20" deluxe touring package rims. I will be tinting the tail lights though. I'm going to my friend's vinyl shop to have them smoked. I'll be getting a drop once the Eibach's are released.

^^ how much more was the 20 inch option?

no disrepect i really feel the 2nd gen 20 inch doesn't match the car at all... the 1st gen 20 inch was perfect.

I also don't have the blank button, i have the very useful change pocket too

Well it wasn't just a single option. I had to get it with the entire deluxe touring package which cost $2,700. For 2009 the deluxe touring came with the 20" rims, hand stained maple wood trim, adaptive front lighting system, auto leveling headlights, tonneau cargo cover.

I know some do and don't like wood, but I do. And the 20's look a million times better than the base 18's which I couldn't live with.

ahh the 2700 makes alot more sense with other things included. I didn't even bother looking at the option. I was pretty happy with what the 09 came with stock :)

i do agree though the 18 were really hard on the eyes.

They should of made like an optional sport package for the 35 so that we could get the FX50 21's instead

I wonder why my 2009 is blank and both of you 2009 is change...maybe different between FX35 and FX50? Seems pretty stupid difference. By the way, you still doing the paint chips this year? I ordered Langka. It's turning cold fast in michigan....mid 20s right now! :( I was gonna do the wash, clay, and 3 part wax today but because of the temp going to wait tomorrow when it gets much warmer to a whopping 50 something and then night low of 34 :( Then do paint chips next week with the leather restore.

If u do the paint chip repair with langka do leave out sumwhere warm for at least 24 hrs. Don't make the same mistake I did :( I have to redo mine in spring :(

I think options change from region to region cause I saw in china all their fx35 had the 21 inch 50 rims

Sorry lol, it's been too cold here this past week to do anything. It will be in the 60's here on Tuesday, so I definately will. I'm always busy =[

You mentioned you don't want to change out the rims because of the package you paid....I'm sure you'd get a huge chunk of change for your rims and/or tires if you sold them....never hurts to just put it up for sale and see if anyone bites a high price.
