I also Posted this up on G35nyc.com

lol these things seem kind of petty but they make the worlds difference in looks and their all pretty simple. I hate yellow stock halogen lights with a passion. Infiniti should make these kind of things standard.
Anyways I changed all the interior lights to LED's. I bought the biggest bulbs possible that would fit in the interior housing. Each housing has 12 LED bulbs inside of them. I didn't need to change the puddle lamps to leds cause Infiniti actually used leds in the puddle lamps. I also changed the stock fogs to 6000K HID's. Next week I'm going to Igor to let him put in my 6000K Phillips Ultinon D2S bulbs cause I can't do it myself lmao. That way the top matches the fogs. It's actually a pain in the ass to do haha.

This is ony of my favorite parts of the outside. When you look at the front fender from this view is looks so fucking agressive the way it bulges out. The side vents are really starting to grow on me. I was originally going to have the factory matched to the paint but I may just change my mind now:

I've been getting alot of heads turning and people can't stop staring at me lol. Plus a whole bunch of compliments already! As you can see they laid my new street already. It looks so much better now! It was full of cracks and potholes.

Thanks for looking guys :).

Hi Fire0nic3,

Very nice mods!

Could you plz tell me where did you get the interior LEDs and the fog LEDs? Specs and links would be very much appreciated!

Did you have to remove the wheels in order to install the LED gog bulbs?

Thanks!

Thanks man. Just to let you know that the fog lights are not LED's their HID's. I converted them from halogen to 6000K H8 HID. I bought the kit from www.DDMtuning.com. I took off the tire to pull a part of the wheel well fender lining back to get full access to the back of the fog lights. It's pretty simply bro :)

The interior LED's I bought from here: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-...on=DispPage&Page2Disp=/mini-wedge.html#table4

I put in the 12 LED T13 921 bulb. Your going to need a total of 10 bulbs if you want to change them out. That's not including the two for the trunk and liscence plate lights.

Took some pictures in the middle of the night yesterday lol. Sorry they never came out great. My camera is gay when it comes to caputuring light at night time. The LED's are way way way WAY brighter than they looks in the pictures. So bright that it will leave you eyes spotted after looking at them for a second.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the camera makes them look a little blue but in person their actually PURE white. The lights are so blinding lol. Remember their 12 LED bulbs in housing haha.

Look how bright the mood lighting is now. Need I remind you that stays on while driving which is pretty cool:

I'll have more pictures coming on Monday of some other things I'm having done.

You're the man, thanks!

Yes, I meant HID for the fog lights, sorry:wub:

Did you get the regular T13 & 921 LEDs or the Non-Polarized ones? Just one final detail before I place my order.

Thanks, again!

I just got the regular ones. No matter what way you put them in, it won't mess them up. Remember the 10 bulbs you need are for the two front door step lights in the front, the two front map light, the two front floor lights, the rear map lights, and the two rear door step lights. The trunk you will need two festoon styled bulbs.

Oh I forgot to mention to be careful when popping the cover off of the light housings. Use some tape in between the crevice when prying it off that way you don't scratch the plastics.

Fire0nic3 - Do the interior LED lights still operate the same as the stock ones? like if a door was open say back right door, would the back right door's corresponding light become brighter? I really like the LED interior lights but I also like the brightness feature of the stock lights.

The mood lighting pic you have of the footwells is nice! I looked at my stock setup today and I don't see any lighting down there when I'm driving at night. Are they suppose to be on?

Yup the interior lights still operate the same with the sequential lighting. Whatever door opens that side will be brighter than the rest like it does with the stock bulbs. The brightness feature is pretty cool. The reason you couldn't see the mood lighting on while driving is cause the stock bulbs are so freaking dim you can't even tell their on. When you change the footwell bulbs to LED, then you will see them cause their alot brighter lol. Their always suppose to be on while driving. In the daytime you can't see them obviously, but at night time you can. Another thing people don't know is that there is mood lighting behind the interior door handles on all four doors. It's these little nice touches that Infiniti adds that makes me fall in love with this car lol. They really payed attention to detail in the 09 FX.

To anyone that wants to change their lights to LED's, I'd like to warn you to be careful when using a flat head screwdriver to pop the covers off. Always put like a piece of painters tape in between the crack where you will be prying it off cause you don't want to scratch anything. I used painters tape to protect it, and it worked like a charm!

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Liscence plate lights use the 194 wedge bulbs. I found out the Osram bulb guide doesn't help with picking out the right type of bulbs. Alot of the information for the 2009 FX35 on the Osram bulb guide is incorrect. All the interior lights use wedged based bulbs except the two interior trunk lights which use the festoon type bulbs.

Hey man,

How to remove the lens from the door step lamp case? I can remove the whole case easily, but I don't know how to remove the clear lens! Thanks!

Just pull it from one side, but not from both ;-) it will pop out. Don't be scared ;-) it is easy to do. But if you gonna change bulbs in trunk,it has screw there(remvoe it before) removing the clear lense.

Sorry for the newb question, but what's the difference between the T13 and the 921 bulbs? Is it just light output or are their specific locations for each one?

ETA: never mind, figured it out..

Thanks..one more question....is the bulb by the trunk the same size as the others

No the interior trunk bulbs are festoon type bulbs. You can find them here:

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/DomeMap-LED/White-LED/V-LEDS-6K-WHITE-2W-4-p7408258.html

All the other lights in the car are wedged base bulbs.

@Vmatador

The door step lights are pretty easy to take out. Just use a flat head screw driver to go in between the crack and push down on the lense. It may seem like it won't come out but it will. Just give it some patience and elbow grease. And the whole thing should pop out pretty easy. Be sure to tape the edges though, that way you don't scratch anything :). Better safe than sorry bro :)
