Fire0nic3FX's 2014 Infiniti Q50 Review Thread (Video's & Pictures)

So I got a Q50 loaner and figured I would share a review plus pictures and some videos. For now here is a short cold start video of the interior:

Aaron, your review is not quite like Saabkyle04 :) lol....I've been spoiled by that kid.

Another day of driving this lovely car. I find more and more new features in this car everyday. Everywhere I go this car attracts a lot of attention. Mainly questions about the headlights and what kind of car it is because it's so new that no one has heard of it yet.

Here are some random pictures I took today.

By the way those LED daytime running lights turn on as you approach the car. It's a part of the welcome lighting.

Aaron, I heard bad things about the apps and how they take forever to load....basically the whole system and how laggy it is compared to other cars. In fact it was so bad that infiniti halted all the cars at port to do some update to at least get a few seconds faster. I found this all from the dealer.

They don't annoy you? Any type of lag annoys the hell out of me and especially for a car you pay so much for. They say the next version should hopefully have these issues ironed out.

Nope I don't see any lag in the system. I heard there was a tsb issued for this and it seems like this car I got has that tsb applied.

I just wish the taillights weren't so Hyundai Sonata. Otherwise, I love this car. Taillights, actually the whole rear, ruin it for me though.

Those headlights are badass. I saw one on the road the other day and it took me a minute to realize what it was. I'm going to have my 60,000 mile service over the winter, maybe I can talk my way into a loaner.

Enthusiasts probably won't appreciate what im about to say but people looking for luxury would. The ride in the Q50 is like awkwardly quiet. It's actually so quiet in the car that I have to turn the radio on or open a window because my ears keep popping. There is a lot of pressure build up in the cabin. When you open the doors the first thing you notice is how freaking heavy the doors are even though they are aluminum. The doors are packed full of sound deadening.

The car gives little to no road feedback at all. You will feel road bumps ever so slightly. The car is really sealed off from the outside. One thing I notice with it being cold here in NY at the moment is that I don't need to run heat at all because the car is so well insulated where as my FX I do have to run heat in the weather. The glass also appears to be thicker than the FX. I'm sure it has better lamination. I drove over some roads here that are unpaved where no asphalt was laid and I couldn't tell the difference between which road had asphalt and which one didn't because it drove just as quiet on the unpaved roads.

I guess Infiniti has answered to the complaints about the stiff noisy ride in the G37. While enthusiasts like that, the families that buy this car will appreciate the better more quiet ride. Which is the people the make up most of the G sales. Enthusiasts are only a little group of the people who actually buy this car.
