Fire0nic3FX's 2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan Picture Thread

Yes I finished the headlights pics will be up soon ;)

I'm so pissed though!! I finished the black suede headliner and installed it and its wayy too dark. But that's not the problem. The problem is that it doesn't match the graphite interior. It's blacker than the interior! With it inside you can tell the interior actually isnt black but its a dark gray like the FX's interior since its graphite too.

Got pissed and ripped all the suede off and placed an order for a color of suede that looks similar to the graphite color. It's called charcoal gray. Placed an order already.

I don't have alot of spare time it just looks like it. I have classes 3 days a week from 9am-6:15pm at night. I shoved 18 credits worth of classes into 3 days (not doing that again). Then when I get back home I either study or take a short break then it's off to bed to do the same thing again the next day. The other days of the week I'm working. When I get spare time thats when I work on the cars which is usually 1 day out of the week. It's not like the other 4 days of the week I'm home laying on the couch

I really shouldn't of been messing with the car this week at all because I had a week and a half worth of class work to make up plus studying for 3 make up mid term exams and a communications paper all because of my surgery. I try and fit car time in when I can.

By the way alot of times when I post some stuff I've done up, its things I've done the week before.

So anyways guys.....

As you know I was unhappy about the black suede headliner. Ripped it all off and started from scratch again. This time I used charcoal gray suede instead. MUCH MUCH MUCH better! It matches the interior pretty good and isn't dark like black.

Here is the headliner partially installed back in:

Don't mind the inner part of the headliner sagging. I forgot to put the plastic support bracket back in so down it goes again. And I will be painted the plastic pieces to match. What a pita it was to get that thing back in.

Thanks guys. So what are your opinions on it? Ugly, sexy, looks out of place, compliments the interior??

Here is another shot:

I'm sure it will look even better once I get the beige color plastics painted and get everything 100% installed back in. :0

nice job aaron! I like how it looks, but just wondering why it looks wavy near the mirror? Did you not use enough 3M adhesive?

Looks like he's missing the trim piece there and that's just an edge.

And good choice on color. It's what I have in my FX, charcoal which matches the OEM dash well. Black is way too dark and charcoal is just slightly lighter. But headliners should be slightly lighter than the dash. I can't think of a single car that comes with headliner darker than the dash from the factory.

Thanks!

It looks wavy near the mirror cause there is a trim piece that goes there to cover it up. I wasn't too concerned with how I trimmed the edge there because the trim piece covers it. That's the area your talking about right?

yep I see now that you didn't replace that trim piece yet.
