Hey guys, Im Ryan from Chesapeake Va. There is only one Infiniti dealer in my area so the FX is a rarity around here. I found one last spring, an 03 45 with less than 50k on it. After driving it a few months I decided I liked it enough to park it and try to keep it as clean as possible. The thing is just about immaculate, barely any dust even in the engine compartment. I had the wheels painted but that is as far as I have gotten for now, it is covered and I have a long list of projects. Anyway, havent seen many people from this area on here, maybe Richmond was the closest. But I have seen that this appears to be the best forums for the car, some of you have done some good projects and there seems to be a wealth of info so I finally signed up. I would post pics of it but this thing wont let me until some of you respond to me. Or I have to start posting non sense in order to show you, either way, I will get pics up as soon as I can.

Wow, that's a low low mileage for and 03. Congrats on the ride. You found the best forum on FX too. Welcome to :iS2:
 
Its copper, I know its a controversial color lol, but when Im done its going to grab attention. I hope to have pics up soon.

I like how you have yours set up... even though you have the newer copper color code. Im going the opposite route, eliminating all the chrome and blacking out anything non copper. I was surprised when I bought this one, the paint is very smooth and after a few layers of sealant there is no way to tell its 10 years old.

cant tint brake lights here... thought about the sport clears but not sure.. the red doesnt clash with the copper too bad. as far as the headlights... im just sooo hesitant to crack open 1000 dollar headlights to paint the reflectors. Might buy some aftermarkets but they are so expensive. And yes... coilovers are on the list after the spacers.
 
Just hangout here some more, the Sport tail will grow on you. Red doesn't clash with copper like you said, but it just too ordinary :smile (2): Opening the headlight is very straight forward. Just watch for a set comes on classify here. Usually it's a better deal than on ebay. Oh all headlights are oem. No aftermarket!
