First warmer day of the winter here in Mississippi so I figured I would wash the car and upload a picture.

Future Mods:
Front aero kit from Infiniti
Black chrome the upper and lower chrome pieces on the grill.

Has anyone thought about taking all the emblems off the car along with the pieces above and below the liscense plate and having them redone with black chrome? Just a thought.

looks great
Those OEM 1st Gen 20" wheels look so much better than the butt-ugly OEM 2nd Gen 20" wheels. I wish Infiniti had kept them for the 2nd Gens, then I would probably have ordered with the 20s.

Looks great man! Hey, if I fly you out to Seattle will you do my ride as well? Its been three+ months and its looking pretty homeless right now.

Ride looks nice n clean !
ATSAPPIN < I thought of doing the same thing because it would go with the grill. Also thought of doing the handles and other trim pieces black chrome (hyperblack) also because I'm doing my 21's in hyperblack pretty soon.

Same here! It's been weeks since the last wash and just washed it 1 hour ago since it is 34. 20s and teens all week after tomorrow. 2-4 more inches of snow overnight.

Here's some shots of the ride after the wash just now:

With the amount of rain/slush/mud/ and other crap on the road daily I reserved to hosing it down everytime I get a chance. No point of detail wash when it's going to be the same next day. Gotta love Seattle though

After no good clean in 2-3 weeks of winter snow/salt, today after cleaning it about 45 minutes, I found crud in some places that built up that I was really glad I cleaned off really well...stuff in between the doors, the bottoms from the inside, the rear doors especially from the inside where the plastic meets the body lots of build up from even wash outside of car found good crud buildup from inside, etc. Also slightly noticed that some dirt was more stubborn to come off than it was last time I washed, so I'm very glad I got a good wash in before snow tomorrow again....seems for sure the longer you let this crap sit and then new salt and crud the next day and keep doing that, the harder the dirt gets and the more crud gets in places small knuck and crannies. I'd recommend a good wash at least once a month. If I can't wash well, I actually don't wash....I heard from a few sources that sometimes just hosing down without a good clean may be good appearance wise but not as good otherwise because it activates the salt to work much much more strongly as opposed to the salt being frozen over/old/more inactive. Just my 2 cents.

^^^^ good point. DOT here is more reliant on sand than salt so we get alot of mud and crap after snow (rare) most of it is just rain cramping up our rides

Something else you might not have realized jd.
They say if you keep your car in a garage after driving on salty roads, it will start the corrosion process faster. This is because the ice and crud on the car melt enough that it activates the corrosive action of the salt much faster when placed in a garage which is warmer than outside.
You are actually better to keep your vehicle that is winter driven in a carport, just to keep the sun, snow and rain off of it.

Yeah here they use heavy heavy heavy salt. Nasty roads here during the winter.

I actually didn't think about that so I'm glad you mentioned it. I always park in the garage and like to after a snow storm because everything melts. Didn't think about the corrosion piece with doing that. Ugh now probably going to leave it outside more. :(. Thanks though for the reminder :)

i finally washed mine today also she still needs to be detailed though :/
