I thought it would be cool to start a thread about features and facts about our 2nd gen 2009+ FX's. It could be anything like things you didn't know, but found out.

I have a few things on mind but will post one at a time.

Did you know that the around view camera's on our ride's are manufactured by Sony?

Here are some more things some people didn't know:

1. I couldn't figure out why it's so hard to get coins out of the coin holder. It's so damn small and you can't get your fingers in there. Boy did I think that was a horrible design. Turns out the coin holder can slide out of the the pocket to take the coins out lmao:

2. Each and all 4 door handles including the rear doors has LED amber mood lighting in them that stays lit up the whole time the car is on:

3. When it gets near the freezing point outside, an alert will come up on the cluster OLED screen to remind you that there could be potential ice patches on the road and to drive carefully:

4. There is also an alert to remind you the temperature is very low outside:

5. With the radio off, hold down the setting's button on the Infiniti controller and keep turning the volume knob while holding the settings button and a secret Navi/Car CAN control menu will come up. This section of the navi system has more serious settings that only your dealer uses if you need help with something.

You can adjust alot of things on this secret menu, but here are some typical things you can screw with:

You can adjust the camera individually:

Or you can adjust the entire around view monitor:

6. There are hidden comfort guide straps located in the left and right side of the rear seats in a hidden leather pocket:

7. There is also LED mood light near the top map light console. The purpose of this is to cast a dimming light over the shifter knob panel below at night time:

this is very cool, imma find stuff out and post it as soon as i find something you didn't mention. very nice man

Cool stuff, but we already have this thread, HERE.
Unless I'm mistaken, I think this thread was created to be exclusive to the '09+ FX. Unfortunately, I have nothing to add to it. Well, I did find out that the screws on the brushed aluminium roof rack are painted and not real brushed aluminium. Ours are now chipped because of a cargo carrier. =(

You're not mistaken but the other (original) thread is not generation specific and applies to all fx models. Ergo, to create the distinction and a new thread for it is IMO an excercise in redundancy. The reason the separation did not already exist is that many of the facts apply to both 1st and 2nd generations. We can either create a thread for each of the 6 FX versions with duplicated info for the universal facts, or we can have one thread and specify the fx version in the individual post. The latter is much more simple and keeps everything in one place. That place being the "fact thread" that I linked above...

Well, in the other thread the facts are 99% for the 1 Gen, i just read 6 pages of information that does not sound interesting for me as it is not applicapable for my car:(.

Anyone has idea what are these options for the climate control for? When i go into that service menu, climate, i can change between option 1, 2, 3, 41, 51. Guess different setting for different regions (hot, cold, normal)?

I believe you need controls on the back of the center console if you can watch DVD's. Not 100% sure though.
