Hello,

I am shopping for new summer rubber. I have 20 x 8.5 rims and I was looking for my options. Ideally I would go with 265 50 20 but I have better tires options with 275 45 20.

The 2 tires I am looking for are Falken 453-CC and Hankook S1 EVO SUV.

Main question: I know it will be limit for the fitting, but should I expect any issue(s)? I do not want to buy new rims as I have other unforseen expenses coming up.

Pleas elet me know!

Those EVO's look nice. 220 treadwear & would be grippy. Low price & huge value
I think a 275 would fit fine on a 8.5" rim. How much gap difference, . . you may want to check with wheel calculator. Also factor in the diameter size from stock. Going smaller has caused me to induce slip light in more demanding corner braking due to greater rotation.

OEM on Porsche too. Cant be bad

Agreed, Wheel calculator indicates it's fine with a 2% difference. I love the Falken following your comments and I could get them from Canadian dealers. I have seen the EVO from tire rack, I will search for a canadian retailer then take my decision.

Thank you Gto!

Hello,

As an update, I went for the Continental Crosscontact UHP in 265 50 20. It has a perfect fit for my 20 X 8.5 wheels and it is a dedicated summer tire. COmfort is really good and the softer coumpond soaks up the bumps nicely. I have approximately 1,000 miles on them so far. Track day is in 2 weeks! :good:
