Factory Bose Subwoofer Amp

I haven't had my used FX35 too long and i soon realized after purchasing it from a Honda dealer that it had a couple small but anoying defects; rear door auto-door lock inoperative and the damn sub amp kept cutting out every 2 minutes. I read alot of threads about this issue and most people agree that an upgrade is in order. im happy with the stock Bose and really wanted to keep it all stock. i found a Bose repair specialist in Florida called Factory Car Stereo Repair, Inc. I shipped mine from Cali. and they turned it around in less than 2 Days (they claim it takes 8-10 days) They claim all parts are upgraded and not the inferior OEM type that keep burning up. either way, they offer a life-time warranty and i'm really happy with they whole deal. Cost was $80 plus return shipping. I realize this may be a few bucks more than a OEM replacement but the peice of mind was worth it for me. My two cents. ...holy hell does keeping my car stock, mean i'm getting old??? Brian

Hey thanks for the info. I am sure someone may find it helpful.

Btw, welcome to the Scene!

I'm having the same problem, thanks for the link to this company. I'm hoping they don't charge an arm and a leg for shipping. I'm really getting tired of the sub cutting on and off. i checked it out and it's not the wiring, it's the speaker itself.

hopefully i can get it fixed soon.

Our problem is actually with the factory amplifier that comes inside the subwoofer.

It's easily removed for servicing though. I have 2 of them and it takes 10-15 mins to swap it out.

It's tiny, probably doesn't put out much heat inside the housing lol.

Oh nice, so it's probably the same problem with the link I posted right? The solder points lost connection, or easier to just buy the amp and replace?

No telling how or where it failed inside the amplifier housing.

Replacing it is the way to go, assuming you find a decent price of course.
