I am a very nit-picky, detailed oriented person. I notice all the little details on things. Unfortunately, this isn't always the best thing to be either, lol. :balanced::alien:

ha ha same here, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. We all want our rides to look their best.

I took another pic, from the side while on my break, shows the chrome rings a bit better I think.

What kind of tape did you use on your headlights Getlucki? Was there any chrome peeling? I think you are using the brand "Frog Tape"?

 Ed, I notice you got chrome rings on black housing too.
As matter of fact, I even call upon our resident lighting expert Marek to consult him on how he did yours, but mine peel so badly that I have to spray it all black.

Overall no peeling, except a small piece on the inner ring by the dtrl, you can't see once the lights are put back together.
the tape I used is a 3M Automotive Performance green tape. I picked it up at my local Pep Boys. But frog tape would probably do the trick too.

Cool. I will definitely look for those green tape for my next headlight project.

Sounds cool. I think I also saw the same tape at home depot, I'm guessing any place that sells paints will have that.

and btw off topic, I love what you did with the front bumper using the Jeep cover retainer. I think that's what I am missing on mine.

 I was gonna suggest. I was in the same boat on the 06+ bumper. I'm happy with the Jeep skid plate!

Some 3m automotive double side foam tapes behind the front lip and bottom side. I was able to find some chrome button screws to attach it to the bottom of the bumper. You will need a heat gun to straighten it out a little and a hack saw to cut out the raised mount tabs on each side to have it flush against the bottom of the bumper.

Thanks la! I found one so just placed an order. As soon as it's in I'm gonna get it fitted on mine. Appreciate the tip about heating it up and cutting the mount tabs. :ninja:

Make sure you heat the inside of the piece so the heat won't damage the outside chrome.

Im back :smug:

Lance, your car looks great. Love the new changes and color upgrades.. Im glad you like the lights. Cant wait to see more pictures

Ed, im glad you happy with the final outcome. Hopefully ill finish those bi-xenon projector fogs soon. Thank you for everything :wink (2):

Marus, would you PM with prices on Rings with installation. I'm new to this forum. Thanks

im back, so sorry for late response..

Lance, car looks great! thanks for sharing:tup: oh, and Happy B-day (sorry for late wishes:embarrassed:)

Adam (GetLuckiFX), Gret job, i love the setup with black paint and shroud chrome rings left. To bad its hard to do it. I tested all tapes on the market and i messed up a lot of shrouds. What i found out is that chrome is weak in some places sometimes, thats why is peeling off

. If i remember well, turbocad found a way and he use some kind a liquid.. i need to search for that

As far for installations, i offer headlights exchanges for my customers. This make a lot easier, i build the custom set of headlights you want, send them to you, you do the swap and send me your stock headlights back :wink (2):

Any luck on a proper set of 2nd gen lights?

Ian, i have a hard time to complete a set:sad:
right now i have:
- left with adaptive
- right non adaptive
- left adaptive fx50 dark chrome
- set of complete new adaptive (for sale if someone need)

if i remember correctly, you have non adaptive headlights. So i still need left non adaptive headlight to prepare the set for you
