Extended Warranty?

Hey, so I just bought my third Infiniti, a 2017 QX70S. I had an 03 G35 Coupe for years, and I've had a 2012 G37S Sedan for almost 6 years now. This one was a good deal and only about 23k miles, so I flew to Arkansas to pick it up, and just got back home to San Diego the other day.
The whole buying process was smooth (bought from a Lincoln/Ford dealer), but the finance guy offered an extended warranty.
I had thought that the factory warranty on these was 4 years/48,000, but the Carfax said right on it "factory warranty expired," even though it's only about 3 years old. The one he offered me was for 100,000 miles, unlimited time. Told me that was $3,800, and I said I was okay without it. He then dropped the price to $2,800 and lowered the interest rate as well with the "friends and family discount." I wanted to get going, so I bit and said okay. Now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. I've never had to do anything beyond routine maintenance on my G37, and the G35 was just a couple minor things. I only drive about 8,000 miles a year, and I can easily pay for any unexpected repairs if necessary.
So my questions are, should I still be under factory warranty? Is the extended warranty I bought a good deal, or should I try to cancel it? And are these cars pretty reliable to where you don't really need one? I was looking at the BMW X6M and Porsche Macan, but ended up going with Infiniti in part because of the much lower operating costs. Thanks in advance!

It all depends upon when the car was first registered. That’s when the clock starts ticking I believe.

Bumper to bumper = 4 yr 60,000 miles

powertrain = 6 yr 70,000 miles.

I’d cancel the warranty. Worse case put that $2,800 into a savings account if you feel like you need a cash reserve for maintenance/repairs

Agreed with BA. I have not been buying extended warranty for the past 20 years of buying new and pre-owned Asian branded vehicles.

Thanks for your replies, that's how I've been leaning. Going to try to verify exactly when my warranty expires/expired.

I bought for $1495 to Penfed Route 66 Gold 100k miles/5yr extended warranty on my FX35 '09 when I pay her off and had 60k miles. I did multiple major repairs like broken radiator replacement, rack & pinion replacement, suspention plates, colum stearing motors,etc which dealer billed around $8000 to Route 66. I paid the taxes & not covered parts on these repairs which were around $1000. I think worth it and will do it again on my next car.
