Exotich GTR R35 wheels

I'm on the same page as what meme405 said about the spacers. I have 25mm right now in the front and I am also thinking about going to 30mm eventually as well. 25mm looks good but 30mm would be perfect IMO.

Make sure you get to the exact height before you decide on perfect flush or you will end up with a spacer collection similar to mine (after H/R's, two diff sets' of CO's, three sets of wheels.....it gets old)

Hearing that color I know thst those are Jordan's old wheels

Very nice wheels! When u started describing the wheels one name came to my mind, jbaker lol

ding ding ding ;)

pics of them on my FX35 w/ saggy eibach springs (since you have a 1st gen)

Also I double checked - I ran 20mm spacers on the front, but there was room for a few more mm to be perfectly flush. Remember I was lowered on Eibachs, too so it'll be a little different on stock springs or even H&R springs. I also had to trim the rear plastic under-fender trim & bend bad the metal a bit because I was rubbing when going up sharper angles. Not sure if you'll have to do the same - I think my Fx on the Eibachs was one of the lowest with just spring swap. (in a bad way... the Eibachs sagged and one eventually snapped, lol)

example: Car parked at a pretty sharp angle (camera tricks to make it look low) Rear springs sagging down, this was after the inner fender was modified

Enjoy the wheels! I'm glad they ended up back in the hands of an active iS member.

Hey, bring on the pictures Jordan. Wow, your Eibach's really did sit low compared to my H&R drop. Luckily there is no rubbing, so I should be fine with that, and I am happy with the way the FX sits right now. Love the paint job on the wheels, and how it compliments rest of the FX. :smug:

I love the drop height as it is Logan. So now the consensus is either go with 25mm or 30mm for the front. Decisions, decisions...

UPDATE: Now I have only had the GTR wheels on my FX for less than a week and I have already received tons of compliments from random people on the wheels and tire setup locally where I live. So this morning as I was getting gas, a white GT-R R35 pulls up and I noticed the guy in the car staring at the FX. The owner of the GT-R gets out and says in a very excited voice "are those "GTR" wheels on your ride??,". I tell him yes and then explain to him how they were specially painted. Then the guy says I'll give you "3 GRAND" cash right now if you give me your wheels, because he had the GTR "black edition wheels," with curb damage on 2 and said he didn't like the way his black edition wheels looked and didn't want to spend the money to fix them.

Now I didn't spend nearly as much on these wheels, nor did I have any intention to sell these wheels after only having them on my FX for couple of days, but that 3K cash offer did get me excited. Not even gonna lie gentlemen!! I know the guy has money and wasn't BS'ng as he gave me his business card which is associated with a very famous law firm here.

So the question now is, what would you guys do in my situation??

Sell them and buy a cheaper set, after paint and tires you should be left with at least a grand.

technically speaking if you get another set of GTR wheels and pay for the same paint and new same tires it will prob cost around there,
and like we talked about you're going to need new tires very very soon ($1k ish) anyway and the paint isn't perfect

I would see if I could find another set of GTRs for a reasonable price, then if you can get a good price for em (like what you paid) I would
sell them to this guy, and you're likely to have plenty money left over...

up to you

For $3k, i'd happily roll on stock rims for a while until i found another deal on GTRs. But then again, this is your car and it may not be worth the trouble to go through it all again. Either way, good problem to have. :good:

Sell.

For half that price you can get a set of mint wheels, and then you won't need to even paint them unless you wanted to.

I think the dark gunmetal colour in the later versions of the wheels would look great on your car, so I see no reason to take a mint set of wheels and paint them black. But thats a personal decision my point is that you could easily make $1000 off this guy for a little bit of effort.
