err, i think this is probably a dumb question. but i was wondering if the exhaust on the fx35 are the same or somewhat similar to the one on the fx45 cause the stock one are kinda rusted and tried looking for one for the 45 i realized that theres not alot out there for this engine. thanks in advance.
 
I believe the FX45 has a X pipe. The 35 has a Y pipe.....but this may be due to the awd difference. But Im sure a 45 owner can chime in
 
No the 45 has a Y-pipe as well. What part of the exhaust are you looking for? Y-pipe, Mid-pipe or muffler?
 
True duals usually use an X-pipe. Or to flip it around, you can't have an X-pipe if you don't have true dual.
Y-pipe: >--[
X-pipe: ><=[
(engine to exhaust tips)
If that makes sense.
 
thanks for the quick replies everyone, im looking to change the whole exhaust system, which i think would be from y-pipe to exhaust if possible. thanks

Yea Will, stillen has the x pipe. And Stu is right since stillen is a true dual.
 
i went to Stillen and it doesn't say anything about having a x pipe for the fx45's just that cat back system for like 1200 bucks?
