Exhaust Sound

My Fx 45 (2003 model) exhaust noise is a mixture of normal exhaust sound and intermittent/slight popping sound when on idle.
Any idea what could be wrong here?
How do I correct this irregular exhaust sound?

are you sure your car is running right? a muffler is meant to muffle the engine, if the engine is sputtering then you may get that interment sound.
have you checked for a exhaust leak?

Without hearing it, have you checked to see if your cats are in good condition?

Again, like theMerchant asked... is the car running ok? Loss of power, excessive heat near the floor, engine shake?

+1 we have to hear it first to know whats wrong

Finally got it right after cleaning all the fuel nozzles; 1 or 2 nozzles had been blocked.

it is also a good idea to run some fuel injector cleaner every oil change.
