Exhaust rust?

Went to get an oil change this morning and was told one of the exhaust heat shield is rusted and about to fall off, do I need another peice or can I simply rip it out and run without it? Don't know the exact name of the part

rip it off and run without it. you don't need it.

Just a heat shield, common to rust thru. Remove it and call it a day.

Phew I just spent $600 to fix my scion a few days ago I knew the infiniti couldn't let me down! Thanks guys for the quick reply!
