Exhaust Question (Nismo)

here is the message i received regarding a local nismo exhaust:

"ya i definately would...but i need to find another exhaust first. my nismo exhaust has a dent in the muffler and by the resonator on the midpipe, and the flex sections in the y-pipe is a bit worn, but none of that affects the sound and performance...i would sell it to you for $400, but again i need to find an exhaust first"

just wondering if anyone thinks there will be any issues. i am waiting for pics to see the damage, will update this when i get them. anyways, the price is great and im really excited i found another local nismo for cheap, just hope the damage is minimal. i wish i could see the inside of a muffler, so i would know how big the dent needs to be for it to be affected. anyways, i welcome all comments on this.

How old is the exhaust? I would not pay over $300.00 with any damage.

1) $400 is too much for a dented Nismo.
2) If the dent is through, which probably is, it'd sound like fart

I dont like the "i need to find an exhaust first" part. but if its dented real bad, that would suck cause you can see the muffler from the rear. and the flex would also be a concern.

not sure about age. he says it doesnt affect the sound. he needs to find an exhaust because technically this is a WTT, i asked if he would consider selling it if he could find another exhaust.
