Infiniti FX50 S
Finally picked up my Slate Blue/Wheat FX50 S yesterday.Weird thing though,when I walked on the lot and took a look at my car before going into the dealership,I noticed that there was no red S badge.The sales people said that the S must have fallen off during shipping and that a replacement will be ordered.
The car is definitely a FX50 S with the sport and tech packages,just no S badge.
Anyone out there heard of emblems just falling off?I guess it could have been stolen,but are these badges just barely glued on?
Main reason for my post is,as I have read others say,this car is just too quite.I want to hear my V8 like you hear AMG badged V8 cars.
I do not want it to be obtrusive loud,just a nice growl.
Is Borla my best option?

Just upgrade the exhaust for sound. We don't have and AMG division that adds sportier stuff to the vehicles.
 
No, Borla doesn't have to be your best option. there are other options, you can listen to different exhaust notes on youtube (not the best source but you can find a lot of examples there) and decide which one you like best. A custom exhaust can work also...or just cut the muffler off of your stock exhaust...

I am also thinking of upgrading the cat back. You should probably wait a few months because INVIDIA might come out with the Gemini Cat Back system for the FX50. They are just waiting for enough people to be interested in order for them to come out with a production model.
The Invidia has a nice sound and has substantial increases in horsepower and torque for the 09+ FX 35.
 
in the meantime, if you want to wait, just delete your MUFFler and leave the resonator...it will sound MEAN.
 
Not to say the S badge falling off is normal, but it's possible that it just happened during delivery of the car.

Shit just happens lol. The glue either didn't bond to the paint well, or since it was freshly built the adhesive on the S badge didn't get a chance to heal to the paint and during delivery it probably fell off.

Once the dealer puts on your new one, you won't be able to tell.

As for the exhaust, there are no aftermarket exhausts out at the moment for the FX50, only the FX35.

Nice color choice too! I rarely see any blue slate FX's around here.
 
ain't there fx50 that are not S?

i recall seeing a few fx50 no s at the dealership. Their badge surely can't all have fell off
