Engine Rattle, knock, or clank

Hope someone can help me to figure out what this noise is.

Description: Sounds like metal clanking coming from the engine bay, and I'm not sure if it's a lifter, chain, or loose part.
Sample 1: youtu. be/ CAnSAp9jhvQ (if you take out the spaces)
Sample 2:
Sample 3:

This sound happens when I am off the gas pedal, coasting, maybe between 0 and 1,000 rpms. It happens both with light braking, or just before I get on the gas. It doesn't happen all the time, but once it starts it happens pretty consistently at every stop and go.

Using premium fuel, tried Lucas fuel cleaner about 1,000 miles ago, and change oil on 3,000 mile intervals. Any ideas of what this sound might be?

thanks for the help, fxl8r. thought i'd try my luck with these two...

sound file 2: youtu. be/ dYjhgWLDsdE
sound file 3: youtu. be/ P_CWma0bVTk

All three really are different variations of the same sound that is happening.

no that's the weird thing I guess. It usually happens when I start to brake (or get under 1000 rpms), but that noise still continues when I'm just coasting (or rolling backwards). I just had my rear wheel bearings replaced, and changed the oil. Unfortunately, that didn't fix the noise, and the fx let me know all the way home.

SOLVED: DAMAGED U-JOINT. Needed to replace the entire drive shaft. Cost was approximately $1,000, from dealer. From what I can tell, it makes sense that only at certain slow speeds did the U-joint have enough momentum to create the metal on metal sound. Hope this helps.
