Engine Code P0021

Hi all,

SES light came on and I plugged in my OBD2 kit in.

Code P0021 came on the screen.
Intake Valve Timing Control.


What is that and how do I go on about fixing this issue? and what's the damage going to be =(

I am due for an oil change so I'll get that done. I just did a reset on the code. Will see if it pops up and let you guys know.

I did a reset on the code and drove it around for a bit. Drove to work this morning and the code has not reappeared.

Should I just ignore it for now until it pops back up? And if I was low on engine oil a light would appear correct?

Yes that code will pop up due to low oil or a bad oil filter.

So far so good. Did a reset on the code, oil change new filter (old filter was some garbage brand.) Code has not reappeared.
