Boom, Boom! That was cool.
Saw it overhead. 1 shuttle & 1 chaser craft. 2 streams off the shuttle, & one off the chaser.

I was watching on NASA tv for the landing. I didn't think I would be able to see anything with the naked eye so I didn't go out side. The guy on tv said "there's the 2 sonic booms". I didn't hear it and thought I wasn't gonna hear anything. About 1 min. later after........boom! I only heard 1 but it rattled things a little.

It was very cool. Very visible. It flew right over. By the looks, I would guess at about a 40K' ceiling

I think the last I heard the tv say it was at 35K at just about shore line so your calculation is just about right Dave.
