Enable EVERYTHING while driving

hey JD i wonder what the dealer would say about that? just curiosity.
 
let me get this straight, there is a way to make the side view mirrors power fold like the Mercedes or Audi? This on an infinity that originally does not come with motors to drive the mirrors.

He's talking about having the mirrors fold everytime he shuts off the car.

Just like if they came out with auto-folding mirrors. There are many on the site that I'm sure would jump on this. If it's 300, then to me it's a bargain because I want it and I cannot get it. I tried to get this one kid to get it for me when he was in Tokyo and I haven't heard back. If you are good at this stuff with your buddy and you think these prices are way too much, then I think you are missing a good opportunity to make some good money here if you don't try and sell these yourself.

Totally agree with you. I didn't mean anything by my post. Took me a while to locate the right manual and look through wiring diagrams. It would have been way easier to buy a plug and play unit.
 
This thread makes me feel like the newb I am. You guys are talking about "auto folding" mirror hacks, when I just found the "folding mirror" button on my car after 3 days of ownership. I was hoping to wash and wax the car and stumble through the owners manual this weekend, but it's looking like I'm going to get rained out :-(

One of the things I loved most after purchasing a FX is that still after several months I was discovering and learning things the car can do. I have never experienced or heard of another car that has as many bells and whistles as our cars especially if you get it loaded.
 
Jonas - now that you've had this in for some time. How's the follow up review on it? Works well, any lag with the operation/problems with video? I'm looking to buy this as well for mine. Thanks - Sach.

no lag no issues....one of my favorite things I've done to my car. Can't imagine without it now cause my wife and I watch movies all the time in the car and I no longer need to stop in order for either of us make changes while driving.

You'll love it.

Awesome thanks. My shop didn't have anything and he said he'll check this out but wanted to wait on it until he got some feedback. Figured I might as well ask somebody who has it! Will be ordering it today! Thanks for your feedback!

Actually one more question..going from their website demo in a lexus, I see that when it's enabled, the map doesn't work? Is this how it is on your system? Given that I don't use the factory nav too much, it's not an issue, just more of a question on is that how it bypasses the sensor in the infiniti as well?
 
Yes because the gps stops when you enable it, so you are not moving...so you put in your destination, then switch back, and then the gps activates.

My wife and I have a kick about this all the time.....When we go on a long trip with navigation, lets say it's 3 hours until we get there, then we enable it and watch a movie going there, then after the movie we go to the map, disable it and we warped to only 1 hour left. It's actually kind of cool and like it. makes you think you warped in time and killed lots of miles and time. :)
 
I had a similar hack mod on my m35x for the navigation/dvd on the go. But every time i switched back over to the navigation, it took a few minutes for the satellites to catch up and get my position. Will that happen with this mod?

great! It's one of the best mods I've done....I hope they continue with more Infiniti products....they said they are doing R&D on other stuff for us. :)
