The Audi e-tron looks like a battery electric version of the R8, but it's actually smaller than its high-performance sibling. Expect a limited edition to be offered in two or three years.

A supercar with a 3-cylinder turbodiesel engine seems unlikely, but that's what the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept uses as its main power source. It's expected to sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds.

Mercedes is already touting a battery electric version of its new SLS, called SLS eDrive AMG, to be released around 2015. It features four electric motors, lightweight construction and 525 horsepower.

Tesla beat all the performance big boys to market with the world's first performance electric car, the Roadster. With instant torque and 248 horsepower on tap in a lightweight body by Lotus, the Roadster can go 244 miles on a charge and run the quarter-mile in less than 13 seconds.

Porsche has just released the Panamera, the company's first-ever 4-door sedan, and a hybrid version is due in a year or so. Its electric motor will reportedly propel the vehicle up to 37 mph before getting on the gas.

Put 4 electric wheel motors in the Infiniti Essence and it'll rival all of those listed

Not only in performance but looks as well.

If I was BOOC (ballin' out of control) I would've had a Tesla already.

Like the look of the Fisker Karma:tup:
Just heard today that INFINITI won't be at the LA Auto Show this year:tdown:

damn!!!! that sucks. That is the main reason why I was gonna go. I wanted to check out the new M. That is not cool. Boooo:mad:

I have touched the Tesla!

You guys ever heard of SpaceX? It's a new private space company out there in Huntington Beach that will be launching contract missions for NASA - resupply to the Space Station after the Shuttle is retired.

The company president is Paypal mogul Elon Musk.

Elon Musk is the Tesla's father and he has one of the cars in his SpaceX facility out there in CA. Cool car.

Someone on the ORG has a Tesla, and I think he got to go to a meet at Musk's facility in CA for a photoshoot and stuff.
