Hello.
I am an Infiniti lover and also like wrenching and tinkering with my toys to ensure what's in my safe stays safe.

Well, this is a customary post so that I get permission to post on the thread that made me join iS.
I exist in a couple other Nissan forums and I look forward to a pleasant experience here as well.

Welcome to the site! My son has been watching some of your videos lately on youtube comparing the different gen M's, very informative.

Thank you for the warm welcome. And thanks for the kind words. I do know a thing or 2 about the V8 sedans... And have been trying to share whatever info crosses over to the FX45.

I have been on a lazy hunt for an FX50S, even with high miles, and it seems this is where the majority of owners congregate.

EdBwoy, I'm one of your subscribers on Youtube! Love your comparisons of the VK45 North American / JDM versions and your recent Akebono BBK conversion. I just joined iS after years as a part time visitor. Here's a question for you or anyone who may know: Do you think the Nismo 370z Exhaust would be better with the VK45 than the stock FX45 muffler?

Thank you ZZ! I appreciate the support on my channel.

On the muffler, although I think it was tuned specifically for the V6 and its tube lengths(regarding its sound), I don't think it would harm the FX45. At worst, the exhaust might scream a little more.

You might want to verify fitment before cutting anything up... and also account for the coupe receiving 2 inlets versus one from the FX.

Thanks Ed! The diagrams were a great help in visualizing this and I guess the full exhaust with separate cats, or eliminating cats with dual straight pipes could work?

I'm not really interested in the tone of the exhaust note as much as adding a HP or improving low end performance. Would the exhaust from the FX50 be a better application?
