So, i purchased the below light from ebay, firgured what the heck for $30..supposedly 6k D2s/D2r..got them delivered today and the box say D2c. never heard of these so i researched a little on the forum and it appears these are not good lights. I am not a typical ebay shopper so my question is how should I handle this situation being that they sent me something i didn't order and according to some threads on here, are not worth the trouble. any suggestions would be appreaciated..

thanks.

What is D2R, D2S and D2C?

D2R, D2S and D2C are all HID's bulb sizes. D2S bulbs are made for vehicles with projector headlight housings such as BMW 3 Series, Honda S2000. D2R bulbs are made for vehicles with reflector headlight housings such as Lexus IS300, Infiniti G35.

D2C bulbs is a new version invented in Japan. It is universal fit for both D2S and D2R housing.

Google search goes a long way.

Hope that helps you.

Shouldn't of bought knock off HID bulbs, cause that's what they are. The 1st gen FX uses D2S bulbs.

I'd send them back for a complete refund if I were you. Get the Morimoto 6000K D2S bulbs instead. Quality product at a good price:tup:

I researched what to buy and was led to beleive that was what I was purchasing. I appreciate your response, but that was not the input I was looking for. Thank you.

I purchased these because they appeared to have what most people discussed what set the difference btwn cheaper brands and the better brands, the metal bulb housing (or whatever the technical term is).., so I was looking for knock off bulbs but something that appeared to be of equal quality at a reasonable price.

I plan to call them and inquire as to why the told me I was getting d2s and sent me d2c. thanks for your suggestion

ABETRMAN, what Bklynjohn was attempting to show was that a D2C bulb is in fact both a D2R and a D2S..thus, there's nothing you can really complain about.

On eBay, to get maximal exposure in search results sellers include all compatible bulb-types in their titles (ie. HID BULB D2S D2C D2R) as regardless of which bulb a potential buyer would search for, the product being sold would be applicable.

Arturius, I understand where Bklynjohn was going with his response, I was looking for more of an advisory of how I should handle the seller. It's all good now, I am returning them because the seller said they don't even sell D2r/D2s, eventhough that is what he is advertising. I am going to get a full refund.

Bklynjohn, if I came off as none appreciative or snappy at you, i apologize. It was definitly unintended.

Hey abetram,

When you get your refund, go to the link down below. That is where i got my morimoto bulbs. The other guys went to the retrofitsource website and ordered their bulbs. If you go to the retrofitsource website your going to pay $50 plus shipping. If you go to their ebay link, you will have the option to buy it now $50 or submit a best offer. I submitted a best offer of $30 and they accepted. Cost me like 38 bucks shipped. So you save some money the ebay store. 6000k D2S is what a majority of us got. Hope that helps you.

and its sick! really worth!
I received the item 3 days after I paid!

good luck!

Thanks all. Bulbs sent back today. I definitly will go to the link provided.

Thanks for the PM acceptance Bklynjohn, and the link.

I've had $34 ebay bulbs for a while now and they are still working great. Abertman as an ebayer buyer, you should be able to return your item and open a case but I see you already got that taken care of. I wished I knew about the Moromoto bulbs sooner. It seems like great bulbs.
