E46 M3 seats in FX35?

I have an E46 M3 as my other car and I am planning to install bucket seats in the near future. I have been playing with the idea of installing the old BMW seats into the FX as they are in great condition and more supportive. They are also very comfortable for long journeys. I would just need to dye them to black.

Has anybody done this or would it be the first? A mad idea? A lot of work with sensors etc...?

I saw that one member had successfully installed RS4 seats into his FX so it should be possible...

Are you talking about the full power seats or not? If i am not mistaken the seats in the M are narrower right?

I think the only similar conversion that I read about on this site is Raymond's... I believe it was Audi S4 he used the seats from... but give it a try, I would be curious to know how it works out

Yup, these are the full power seats with heating. It would probably be quite fiddly with all the connections.

m3 seats have a module that is coded to the computer.. It would be hard unless you bypass/hardwire in a way to work with the fx seats

I think e46 seats will be able to be fabricated to fit + power source = power adjustability. They should be bale to work, not sure if it's "worth" it though Raymond's FX is a full blown show car tuner etc... idk if this mod in a stockish FX is "worth" the effort. - What are you really getting?

I needed to still use the base frame of our own seat and fit that into the Audi frame. So took both frames apart and made one from it. Like my fellow members here say.....everything is possible....its just how bad you want it right...?!
