E&G Grilles Installed (upper and lower)

It wasnt difficult at all to install as long as you read the instructions, take your time and are at least a little handy I'd say about a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. The drilling is es exactly that "minor". Heres two screen shots off my phone showing where exactly you have to drill. Also I just wanted to add that both of the grilles I have installed have extra mesh protection behind them that the former owner put in place so that nothing would get through to any of the engine parts which I left in place when I put it on. It looked good he did a nice job and serves a purpose.

Sure does look simple enough (thanks for the pics of install) but I still don't know if I feel comfortable drilling holes to install it. It definitely looks good though and personally I think it looks fine the way it is especially if your going to leave the handles and some other accents chrome. Since Mike said the strut grille is plug and play I might look into that grille. I'm glad I asked because I've looked for some time time now and all the grilles I've come across required the minor drilling.

nice write up, but i am shock that you had to make extra holes with my strut grille it was just like plug and play the holes on the car and grille matched up perfect.

Mike does the strut emblem come off of that grille? I prob would want to put a black Infiniti emblem there.

Thanks, I like the chrome as well. I do think it compliments the rest of the chrome on the car quite nicely. The only way id paint it is if I black out the chrome handles, vents and roof rails which im thinking about but not sure yet. And as far as Mike and the strut grille I only got one word "BALLINNNNN" (Jim Jones voice) haha

What do you guys think about this grille? It's made by a company called SES the interesting thing about it is that it does not require any drilling but only because it overlays on top of the stock grille according to the company's website. I sorta like the fact that it sits flush with the rest of the bumper like the Gen 1 grilles. My concerns would be: 1. how sturdy it sits being that it is mounted further out, I wouldn't want it ruining the paint on the bumper, and 2. if it mounts over the stock grille does that mean it uses the stock grille as a brace? I'm also not trying to ruin the stock grille. I sent an email to see if I could get a copy of the instructions so I can see the mounting procedure. I'll post an update if can get a hold of the copy of the instructions.

Id be a little hesitant to mount something over a stock grille. Youd probably be able to see the stock grille behind the aftermarket one. Did you try looking on their website for any additional info or instructions. I know E&G has complete instruction manuals on their site for downloads

^I saw some pictures of an FX that was on sale in the US with this grille installed and it looked like it covered the front camera, so i would stay away from this unless you don't want to use it.
