Hey guys,

Few things I need your suggestions on, AGAIN:wink:

Here the deal; I'm having the Stillen SC put in by Precision Z in Canoga Park, Ca, and they no longer do engine tuning. So according to Ed, Tadashi would be able to tune it every which way. After talking to Tadashi, he tells me otherwise.

according to Tadashi, he cannot touch the Stillen Box. However, he said that he can do a few other things.

1. For me to call the dealer and get the exact part number for the ECU according to the VIN number. This way he can see if he has the FX35's Program in his computer.

2. He asked me how much horsepower am I looking for? So I said "one gazillion, billion, trillion" I explained to him that I have no clue on what the engine is capable or what my options are. He said "well that's not how we work here":err:

3. He suggested that I get a 380cc injector, and a 255lph fuel pump. While the SC kit is going in, install these instead, and not install the Stillen Box.

4. I would then have to take the car to him, and he would then reprogram the Stock ECU to the correct spec.

Not to mention the a bill for $800, which should be well worth it.

The Stillen Stage 4 kit is $930, and it has practically all the parts which I can get for 1/2 the price excluding the ECU and the Pulley, plus I still need to get it tuned.

By the way, Stillen's new position is that we don't install Used SC's, hence the decision to go with Performance Z.

What do you guys think? Should I also be looking into the Pulley as well??? I'm i better off selling everythign and getting a Prius?

Heeeeellllllppppppp.

With regards to the your ECU version. Are you RWD or AWD? and are you Tech or non-Tech?

An easy way to confirm your ecu would be remove glove box and look at the ecu which is located behind it and see which ecu version number is written on the ecu itself. I believe your version ecu has already been cracked by Technosquare but better to be sure then sorry later. If this is the case then Tadashi should have an easy time with tuning the ecu. And he will not touch the stillen split second box for any kind of tuning.

As for the rest of your questions, one of the FI guys should be able to help you with that.

Tadashi claims that he has never worked on an FX or does not have the map. I'm not sure if I have the Tech Package or not. If I remember correctly, I got every package they had except for the DVD player on a RWD. If I remember correctly, tech package came with Intelligent Cruise Control and Distance Control. If so, I've got it.

So you are a 0?, RWD, Tech?

I was there on Saturday and we pulled my split second out. I'm running a 3" maf on the stock ecu. They have been working on FI engine management using the stock ECU.

I don't know, all I know is that he said he'll need time to work it out. Which is fine. I can leave it a 2-3 days. Also, he mentioned 380cc injectors, what about a bigger one like a 550cc? How will that work?

Also, I know there was a thread on the Pulley size on the different Stages of Stillen SC. Does anyone remember the Color Codes? Can I get an aftermarket same size Stage 4 Pulley?

Stillen was very unhelpful. Every time I asked about any thing that had to do with sizes, number, or measurements, the guy said I'm not sure or I don't know. Then he said that the person I spoke to last that told me they can Install a used SC, was only working there for one and a half months and that he was there close to 20 years. And I think after 20 years, he still did not know.:crossedlips:

It turns out I've been their customer for 10 years. They still had my file from.:err:

I'll find out more from the Precision Z tomorrow. Tadashi wants them to call him when the car is there.

I think I've been taken for. The pulley I have is blue, and it's supposed to be a stage 3.

Dang it. Now I need a pulley as well.

Any suggestions as to were I can find a pulley the same size as stage 4? Does anyone know the Diameter of the sage 4 pulley?
