Hey guys,
Few things I need your suggestions on, AGAIN
Here the deal; I'm having the Stillen SC put in by Precision Z in Canoga Park, Ca, and they no longer do engine tuning. So according to Ed, Tadashi would be able to tune it every which way. After talking to Tadashi, he tells me otherwise.
according to Tadashi, he cannot touch the Stillen Box.
However, he said that he can do a few other things.
1. For me to call the dealer and get the exact part number for the ECU according to the VIN number. This way he can see if he has the FX35's Program in his computer.
2. He asked me how much horsepower am I looking for? So I said "one gazillion, billion, trillion"
I explained to him that I have no clue on what the engine is capable or what my options are. He said "well that's not how we work here":err:
3. He suggested that I get a 380cc injector, and a 255lph fuel pump. While the SC kit is going in, install these instead, and not install the Stillen Box.
4. I would then have to take the car to him, and he would then reprogram the Stock ECU to the correct spec.
Not to mention the a bill for $800, which should be well worth it.
The Stillen Stage 4 kit is $930, and it has practically all the parts which I can get for 1/2 the price excluding the ECU and the Pulley, plus I still need to get it tuned.
By the way, Stillen's new position is that we don't install Used SC's, hence the decision to go with Performance Z.
What do you guys think? Should I also be looking into the Pulley as well??? I'm i better off selling everythign and getting a Prius?
Heeeeellllllppppppp.
