Dyno tuning AWD on Rear Wheels ONLY

Hi all, quick question for people who are knowledgeable on Dyno tuning, I've seen when they tune AWD on the Rear wheels only, by removing a fuse or disconnecting some other stuff, I've seen it a lot on infiniti cars.

So my question is:
  1. After the tune, is the car staying as a Rear wheel only?
  2. Do they actually put the fuse back so it gets to be AWD again?
  3. Is it like an optional tuning/map only for the rear wheels or they make other maps for when they decide to put the fuse back and use it as AWD?

Someone please clarify this for me, thank you in advance!

They remove the fuse for the testing only, to get more accurate numbers. It's put back afterwards. Haven't heard of maps to switch on/off. None of the INFINITI's are true AWD 100% of the time is my understanding. No real LSD's either (viscous type) so there's never power on both tires at the same time, even in the rear. With the open diff once it senses loss of grip I'm speculating the AWD system kicks in and grip is regained by front axle engagement. I personally have a Quaife LSD in my RWD and love it.
