Dxtreme1 Stereo Sytem Upgrade

Unfortunately getting conflicting info from Alpine. Alpine rep claims that the processor does not need to be updated. So the processor is not operational at this time. I'm currently working on getting my Samsung S5 mirror to my screen. So far I have it working. Using a ViewHD HDMI to RCA converter and Samsung Allshare dongle. Idea taken from one of the post in this forum. I couldn't find any info that the dongle was compatible but I can confirm that it works. I will also experiment with appleTV to see if it works and possibly Chromecast when I pick one up. I'll follow up with pics of the install. I just need to pick up a dual USB power port and short HDMI, RCA and micro USB cables to complete the install permanently. So far theghetto-rigged set up works quite well.

It's been awhile since my last update. Everything is almost completed except for some wiring clean up and aesthetic stuff. Finally figure out how to make the processor initiate. Leave it to Alpine to require older MS Windows OS and older computer specs. Installed the Alpine controller on the stock cigarette tray location in a way that I can reverse it if needed.

Originally painted it but I didn't like how it looked. I have covered the panel with the same ultra suede material and color I used for the subwoofer encolosure. I'll post the pics of the final install tomorrow. But for now here are some pics of how it is shaped.

I installed some LED lighting as well. I tapped into the rear cargo light to power up the lights.

I soldered some spade connectors on the back part of the light bulb housing to make it easier to remove the connection if needed.

Here are pics of the rear cargo floor. Some MDF, body filler and plexiglass and I have a somewhat stealthy and show customer cargo floor.

Got all of my LED lighting in but it seems I need to get stronger ones for the aux battery window to match the intensity of the rest of the lighting.

Here's a pic of my HDMI to composite converter I'm using in conjunction with my Samsung Wireless Media Hub which I use to mirror my screen from my Galaxy S5 to to the OEM navigation info entertainment screen. Installed the converter on the panel cover between the arm rest and center console.
