Drop Issue....

I went to the dealer to get a wheel alignment and was told they coulnd align my 45 until I got a camber kit for my H&Rs, so I called Nismo who said the H&Rs don't need one but they should make an adjustment at the toe. I guess one of my front wheels are slanting in. Has anyone had this issue or have advice? I want to put my rims back on this weekend but not if I'm going to ruin my tires you know.

What were the specs? If its only slight ly off then I would not worry too much. But take a look here ///209&highlight=camber+kit

I think it's only off alittle but my front tire makes it seem worst. Thanks for that link to all that info. I was real confused when talking to the dealer service guy, then Nismo. I just couldn't wait to ask you guys to get the correct information.

Was it the camber or toe that was off? Hope the link helps and you get this resolved.

I'm not really that sure. They never actually said something was off to a spec, but I brought it in cause I was pulling to the right and the stearing wheel was shaking at high speeds. I think I'm getting that cause my front tire might be bad.

Also, I got new brakes all around and now my aftermarket wheels won't fit (the back of the rim touches the calipers). I think I'm going to have to get spacers to solve this, but have you ever heard of this before. It seems odd to me.

I'm dropped on H&R and my front left is negative cambering by 0.2 degrees that cannot be correct without a camber kit. I didn't see the need to correct it since it wasn't that off.

A lot of people seem to run into a negative camber issue now and again with after market wheel and/or lowering their ride. Not a big deal really unless it is a significant out of spec issue. Also, make sure you have sufficient tire pressure as that seems to cause some vibrating issues at high speeds.

What kind of new brakes did you get that your wheels will not clear the calipers? BBK?

I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they can give me the specs on how much it's off. It is the drivers side that's off but it's probably more of a tire issue.
