Driving FX on flooded streets

I am considering buying FX for my wife.
We've got a lot of rain in Texas and often streets get flooded in minutes.
Did anyone drive FX in 10-12inch water?
I am not talking about river crossing, just mildly flooded streets.

i have once and nothing happened, this is with my stocks wheels and suspension height. But i drive very slowly through it.

As long as it doesn't get in the intake you should be fine. Might not be good to get cool water on hot metal though. I've driven through some heavy rain this summer and been fine even lowered. My biggest fear is getting water in a fog light housing and blowing out the bulb. That happened in the Tahoe a few years ago.

If it's roads you know and there won't be any surprises you should be fine. I would think the best thing is measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of the front splashpan, and don't go deeper than that.

Yes! That's the lift I need to do when I get my FX! :-)

Thank you guys for the feedback. I just wanted to make sure FX is not too vulnerable like a sedan, which can get water in the transmission and die.
