Driver's Seats Question...

i noticed that too on my 2011 ~4000mls on it only.
i tend to forget about it but when braking harder than usual and coming to a stop, that's when i'll notice it.

well something else that really bothers me the most is the glove box, seems like it the noise form the friction of the glove box door touching against the trim next to it. my wife just sometimes slips like a folded many times receipt and just stick it in that 'crack'

I noticed mine does that too now that you mention it. I thought it was my fault cause I changed the micro cabin filter recently and thought I put it back on wrong lol. I can here friction noises of the glovebox rubbing when I go over bumps. Hey exactly where on the glovebox does it rub the trim? Like on which side? I can't seem to locate it.

I've never had this problem, nor have I ever heard of it on the 2nd Gen's.

You just don't pay attention. I complained to dealer. They couldn't fix it. I test drove all FX35 on their lot, and guess what ?....all seats do same. Annoying :-( g37 seats don't do so

Had my 2010 in for seat track replacement about a year ago, with only 15k or so on it. Stealership scratched the rear driver-side door installing, and took 3 different paint job appts. to fix it. Fixed the problem tho. Now, I have started noticing it again. Maybe it's time to get on Weight Watchers?
Never had the issue on my 06 which I drove to 80k.

I still have a tin-like vibration/sound that comes at about 1000 rpm before shifting in 1,2,3 rd gears. Only when agressive start, but not full throttle. Dealer can't diagnose, but it sounds like a sonic toothbrush layed on the counter while running. Anyone ever hear of that?

No it's that I don't pay attention. It's just that if it requires you to really really pay attention to find the problem. And if you have to do that I can guarantee you that the dealer will act like they don't know what the problem is. That and every time a dealer takes something apart, you come back home with 10 more problems because of them. I'd prefer the dealer not ripping my interior apart....

Glad to know they fixed it!

Cabin accoustics are pretty difficult and tricky to deal with when it comes to rattles and what not. Sounds tend to travel back and forth in cars making you think it's one thing when it could be something totally different.

And when you say trunk cover, are you referring to the tonneau cover in the trunk? If so mine rattles too. I put some felt tape on the thing that holds those flaps and the noise went away.

Yessir! The cover that covers the trunk (for privacy)...Just a relief the noise is gone.

The FX still has a few small rattles...but, I think it has alot to do with how stiff the ride is and now that I have the Dunlops back on, it is even more so.
