So I as quoted for deer damage yesterday and they asked about fixing the area around my door handle that was touched up by the dealer prior to me buying it. The piece with the lock in it is sitting out past the actual door lock and is obvious there is something not right. I can also see that the gasket that belongs behind that piece is MIA. They quoted me $400 to repair the area and make it right, which sounds to be a bit steep.
Can this piece be adjusted or is it a simple bolt in place? I am curious as to why it sits away from the car more than the door handle itself...
