Door handle/back face - paint bubbling?

Anyone else have this paint bubbling behind the door handles? My driver's handle is the only one that's somewhat defective. Trying to get an idea if others have encountered this before visiting a dealership. :frown:

my ride = 2006 fx (with tech pkg) w/ 18K miles, gone thru 3 winters but barely driven.

pics aren't great but the angle is very difficult, prob need some portable mirror to get the details.

Looks like the chroming surface had some contamination.

I have the same thing on my 2006 45 - the black is flaking off now too - havent been to the dealer yet - did you bring this to the dealer yet to try for warranty ???

i'm trying, still pending for a reasonable response. it's an odd area to bubble and flake and I barely driven it. let us know if u have any good updates.

thanks to Kenny (damayor) and his dealership (steve / service advisor), they replaced my driver's door handle today under warranty. looking and feeling all smooth again.
