Door ding protectors

good idea although its quite ugly.

I HATE DOOR BANGER! just becuz you don't care about your car doesn't mean that other don't care about theirs as well.

Reminds me of when I bought my 1994 Jeep Limited. I was so concerned about door dings I cut up two pieces of PVC pipe and covered with foam insulation. I then hung theses from the door handles when we went on vacation. Wife took one look at the contraption and refused to speak to me for a week:laugh:

Something like this seems like it might work against some cars, but not all. With trucks, SUVs, sedans and coupes, there's too much variation where their door would hit yours. So it just seems like this is only a partial solution - and not a very convenient one either.

my co-worker had a lifted 4Runner with step rails/running boards. the truck was so high that the rails were around door height, anybody careless enough swing their door onto his truck would smack their doors onto the rails...hehe:laugh:

Thought about getting some of these a while back but decided I just couldn't take the way they looked. I just try to park way out in the outskirts of parking lots and try parking by other nice cars when no isolated spaces are available.I never park by shithole junk cars cause they just don't seem to care. Also when I'm parking Iv'e moved before when I noticed the edge of the door on the car next to me being all chipped up-A tell tale sign they hit allot of stuff with their doors.
Heres a little story on a dent adventure I had at the DMV.----

I went to the DMV to pick up my new personlized plates(MTN FX) and as I was standing in line to get into the DMV I watched this junker ford van pull in next to the FX and on the oppisite side of me the passenger of the van got out and pulled a wheelchair out of the van and then the mom a 300 pounder got out of the van and rolled out of her seat and hit one of the newly painted doors with her door.I was at the front of the line to get into the DMV so I did not approach them yet.I went into the DMV to get my wait # and they sent me out to pull my old plates off. When I got out to car I could see the new scratch so when I went back into the DMV office I approached the perpatrators. They tried to deny it at first. So here I was getting pissed off in the DMV and everyone was looking at me like I was scrooge yelling at the poor lady in the wheelchair

I don't care how far away you park. You could be so far away that you need to take a cab to the store. When you get back to your vehicle there is sure to be some POS right next to you:mad:

Very true, I had this happened to me so many times, you look for a ''good'' spot then park far away where there's no cars, you get back and the lot is empty yet there is a car parked right next to you lol
