Does burnt exhaust tips look ricey?

Was wondering if you guys think burnt exhaust tips look ricey?? I ordered the Megan Racing OERS exhaust for my G35 with burnt tips. I had to get burnt because they were sold out of chrome tips.

Everytime I think of burnt tips it makes me think of big rattle can exhausts on Evo's, Civic's, and subbies.
Yay or nay?

Nay, but that's cuz I'm old school. I don't like a lot of the new school looks. My friend has a FRS and I loved it...til he put on a giant wing which makes me want to karate chop it

I think they look really good. You'll be able to tell its a quality performance exhaust and not a muffler too. Ya know? You'll be looking good!

It's one of the most complimented part of my FX. I didnt think it'd be noticed that often but its good to see how wrong I was ......... actually got a coupe of compliments on my uuuuummmmm ................... tips today !!!

Depends on paint color. With some it looks great, others not so much. I never even considered getting burnt tips.

Good point. I was trying to why I kind of like them and kind of don't. They look good but can be too gaudy when there are a lot of other accessories going on. Then again, Lerry has a lot going on back there and I like his. Never for me and my ride though.

Thanks ....... sucks that I rarely ever get to see it since it's on my behind !! I had a friend following one time to go somewhere and he couldnt stop saying how great the tips looked !!

Yes ...... be a good boy wink wink !! The tips looking nice is very dependent on the color of the car ...... I think with a Black exterior you can pull it off !!!

With your FX being Red the burnt tips probably wouldnt look as nice since it'll kinda almost look like an american flag ( though there is nothing wrong with our flag :smile (2): hhuummmmmm " God Bless America " here ) I just think the normal stainless steel tips would probably look best with your ride !!

I think it looks fine, the only time it looks ricey is if it sticks out too much. I have burnt tips and don't even notice them that much. I think the polished muffler is much more flashy.

Thank you dude !! They stick out a bit but ummmmmm thats good no ??? I forgot which member it was but he had the same Invidia burnt tips but OMG his were really sticking out YIKEES :eek.: !! Someone here in the NY area too ?!?!?
