Do you pass for your safety check?

So it's aproximately 4 months till the day my safety check is going to expire. I also noticed that many of you really dont even need these done at your state. Ex: California, etc. So for those you that really do need to get this done, does your fx past? Also what kind of mods were on your car when you took it in? Or did you change it all back to stock?

I currently am worrying about my blue interior lights and hid top and fogs.

We have yearly inspections here in PA but they don't care about interior lights or any other mods as long as they don't affect the safety of the vehicle. They're looking at brakes, tires, exhaust/emissions, belts & hoses, mirrors etc. All of my cars have been heavily modded (intakes, exhaust, suspension work, engine mods etc.) and I never had a problem passing inspection as long as everything was properly installed.

The only thing that may trip you up is if you've replaced your ID bulbs with aftermarket ones. The brighter bulbs are illegal in some states (here in PA and Jersey they'll fail you for using aftermarket bulbs, especially the blue tinted ones).

Hope this helps.

Ca smog test is pretty easy to pass, also know a good place near you ghettojiaggalo that's only $25 per test, + that $8 certificate fee.

I have passed inspection with a busted tail light on my SI and more recently with VDC and SLIP lights on on my 350Z. the guy checked the brakes and that was it. didn't have to pay extra or anything.

wow very lucky ppl. as ppl in hawaii here, the officals are extrememly strict. i know many people have failed their safety check even with a single blue dome light in the car. as for the safety check comes, i guess i'll have to remove everything :frown:

To the OP, how are the quality of cars on the island, Im going to school in GA and it seems like most of the older cars leak everything onto the road and many leave a cloud of smoke behind, after living here NY/NJ look spotless
