Or just avoid Sheehy Nissan in Waldorf altogether for maintenace on your Infiniti.
Firstly, they quoted me $499.00 for the 60k service, 2 days prior to me bringing it in. I dropped off the fx, they called about 2 hours later to inform me that the price would be $599.00. Ok, i didn't make an issue out of it, as Infiniti charges $1400.00 for the 60k service.
I drop off the fx early friday morning (big mistake) & then pick up the car later friday and was disappointed that they hadn't even washed her. Upon driving, i noticed that she wasn't running as 'spry' & as 'punchy' on her feet when i went to accellerate.
I had the nagging feeling to lift up the hood and try to do my own inspection but i kept putting if off.
On Monday, something told me to act on my urge and take a look up under the hood. To my dismay, those two pieces that connect to the air filter box up front were laying at the bottom, on the splash guard, underneath the oil filter. They had just missed getting caught up in the two belts.
Took the car back on Tuesday, spoke to the service adviser who went back to talk to his manager, and all i got out of it was a free oil change on my next visit? :eek.: Next visit? Really?
I'll say this about Infiniti. I read here on the forum about the dashboard bubbling and contacted Infiniti of Alexandria who replaced it for free (about 2 months ago). While they were working on the inside of my car on the dashboard, one of their Techs put a whole on my armrest. I spoke with my service advisor (John Connor) who had a real piss poor attitude about it but eventually & reluctantly ordered me a new set and put it on.
The servicing is grossly overpriced but i suppose the attention to detail with Infiniti commands the $1400.00 fee. You really pay for what you get and if you cut corners on maintance you'd better be mechanically inclined to pick up the slack.
