DMV Meet-DC/MD/VA - Feb 21st

Sorry Toni, I won't be able talk to my neighbor until this coming Thursday. We'll see if he can tell me anything about the lights.

We can firm up the lunch arrangements for the 21st when we know what the weather is going to do. Could we be so lucky to have another weekend like the one we just had!

I was given this suggestion to get some interest in our IS region and not be too awkward. A guy I work with said he became interested with a club because a card was left on his windshield. It simply said their name and the link to their web page. So it could be something like:

DMV - DC/MD/VA

I often come out of a store and a FX is parked beside me. Would be kinda cool to just leave them a calling card. What do you guys think? Im just throwing this out there. Thanks

I just remembered, here is a free (shipping $5.45) business card site. I had done some in the past. Only has a their small logo on the back

Sounds great Toni.. I've seeing a couple of FXs around my area. Would mind leaving one of those card on their door's window or windshield..:tup:
 
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it next weekend as planned. I do IT work and they approved a maintenance window that we thought would not go through. I will be waaay out in Ashburn, but will try to have my mods done and stop by if U guys R still at it around 3pm Saturday. I should be finished working around 2pm Sat.

Wow my list of things to do has degraded. Don't think the GT-Spec braces will be here in time for an early Saturday meet install. Online shop where I ordered my LEDs, Fog light HID kit and D2S bulbs said they are waiting for the DS2s to come in, so that order has not been shipped, and probably will not be here by Friday. The 10mm spacers that I had for install need to be returned due to the fact that Im getting the FX50 retrofit BBK, and it will require larger spacers to install. I have the independent fog light module, but no need to install without the HID kit. I guess I could go ahead and install the extended wheel studs in the rear. This will be a definite meet-n-greet for me...lol. Im still hyped to get 5 FXs together for a group photo.:tup:
 
Here's the latest weather blurb.

"Saturday, Partly sunny with a chance of rain and snow showers. Highs in the mid 40s. Chance of precipitation 30 percent."

Mid 40's temp, so still good to do a cookout, I think. I don't the bad stuff is gonna hit until later. I can pick up some burgers and buns, if that's what ok with everyone. Just bring whatever you'd like to drink, and maybe some chips.

The big wind storm we had the other day blew my grill off of the patio :eek:. So I have to reassemble it and bring it back up to the patio.

BTW, Toni, I couldn't get an answer from my neighbor the other night, he cancelled on us at the last minute (we had a guys night out).

zx12rtoo, do you need me to PM my address, or are you still meeting up with the guys?

Have to play it by ear, if its bad then of course we will err on the side of safety, but if its ok I would say we are still on. Bill has a warm shop to work in, but I would also say its his call.

No biggie, I didn't get the part in anyway. I ordered a HID kit for the fogs, but it will not be delivered in time. Have to save the lights for another time.
 
Oh, I forgot to mention, we might have another member shortly. There is a guy in my branch at work who recently bought an '04 (liquid copper). He however left, to go on vacation this past week so he won't be able to make the meet, and when I told him about it, he seemed disappointed. So we'll see...
 
That reminds me I was getting some cards made, been a busy week since returning back from training. I think at least four people from our area have joined, gave them invites, so hopefully we will be growing.

I'd say bring some chips, and whatever you like to drink. We don't have much variety, usually only diet pepsi is in good supply. Don't worry about the money, I caught a good sale on burgers.
 
I'm a new FX owner and just joined the board today. I wish I had known about this earlier because I ended up putting in a drop-in K&N filter today. I'll be changing my drive belts and doing my first oil change in the coming weeks. Looking forward to meeting you all.
