DMV

For our next meet I would like to do my lights. Been inquiring around for cost for the independent fog light and HID kit install...$300. Im like are you kidding. I can do it myself with a little supervision...lol. Anyway for our next meet I plan to install:

1. KPtechnologies Fog Light controller module
2. Fog Light HID kit & 8000K bulbs
3. D2S HID Headlight Bulbs
4. DTRL LEDs

Tone, where did you get your D2S HIDs? I got some cheap 8000k fogs from ebay, but want to get higher grade for headlights without going phillips or PIAA.

around where do you guys host your dmv meets? I've saw pics from the last meet at someone's garage so i assume it will be at the same place? I'm located in charlottesville, VA right now btw

curious...what does DMV stand for? I'm assuming not department of motor vehicles..

Autoillumination.com, they were recommended on the site by other IS members.

 I believe it stands for the DC, Maryland, Virginia area

Correct....DC/MD/VA...Bill mentioned hosting another meet again in April. I have a few things I need to do before April, but I need his help to get the electricals...my install seems pretty straight forward, but nothing ever is...lol. We did one meet at Bill's place and it just stuck. Very nice place, he is planning on installing a lift, and we plan to be on hand to help with the install. Oh yeah, from Charlottesville thats about a 2.5 hour drive for you I think.

Wow a lift? sweettt, thats dedication right there:smile:

I doubt i can attend any DMV meets until next year. UVA does not allow First Years to have a car or even drive on campus... and they have been cracking down on it which is why i do not want to risk bring my car down... getting caught then having to bring it back up. I should be able to make it out to the meets sept onward though as i will finally have my car on campus:biggrin:

hey rubare, i noticed your location says NYC but your in DMV also? what is your story?

I'm from NYC, but since I'm in the military I move every where. Now I'm stationed in Indianhead,MD. So I just keep NYC so I don't have change it as often..

I got the chrome shifter panel also and just got a tracking number for the GTSpec braces. I was thinking of getting the braces installed at a shop in Dulles called Function Tuned. I was given an estimate of between $158 and $237. Has anyone heard of them before.

I've heard of them, all the G35 and Z boyz love them. A little pricey, but I here they do good work. We installed our own braces during our last meet, but of course it depends on your time and resources. You will enjoy the effect.

Hey guys!

Yes. the meets have been at my house, and there will be more!

The lift probably won't be happening until much later this year, but I still have to get electricity to the new garage (not shown in the previous pics, except in my Avatar)

The last couple of weeks I've been super busy with a joint Navy NASA project. I'm still recovering.

Just saw this posting. I am definitely up for another meet up, and I promise I will be able to stay longer this time since I should not be on call for work. If we do meet up this month, I plan on doing the clear taillight installation (finally). Next weekend isn't good for me with Easter, but the rest should be okay I think.
