DIY: How to wire V3 Triton Switchback LED from VLEDS

Hi guys,
About to order these for my turn signals and dtrls...I'm kinda new to this lighting wiring stuff. So wanted to know what exactly the resistors are
needed for? When you order, they have them as an option but I believe I need these to keep the lights from flickering, right?? Or do I not need them?

+2 on the resistors. & any of the base waterproofing adapters?
Hey andy Does the white wire necesarily have to go to the red ballast powering wire? Can i just hook it up to the little 194 bulb wire 12v pos? Im trying to get these for my 2nd gen. But it says on the website about the controller being on back order till the 29th.

If you're using the VLEDS V3 Triton kit in this DIY, you don't need additional load resistors. You can hook the white wire to any source that comes on with the headlight just so that the LED will dim down a bit to not overpower headlights. You don't have to hook up the white wire if you don't want it to dim down.

I have these switch backs. Andy installed mine and they are bad ass. Super dam bright and worth the $

Andy...so I don't need the resistors they offer as an option when ordering. I can jst wire without any resistors at all?? Thx for the help...

Since VLEDS is selling a newer version (2.5) of the Triton Kit now, I'm not sure if it needs the load resistor. My setup was version 2. I didn't need to use the load resistor. When I was installing version 2 kit into RIP ride, it was hyper blinking and I have to install load resistor on the turn signal wire.

1st and 2nd GEN both uses 7443 7440 base adapter. No waterproofing between the base adapter and the bulb socket as it is. I have a couple base adapters issues with water and corrosion with the base adapter. Trying to figure what I can use to seal out water and moisture. Thinking of apply some dielectric grease, but hated the mess though.

Thx Andy...I think I will order the resistors just to be safe. They'r only like $20 bucks anywayz....but hopefully I don't get the hyper-blink. Wonder if it's
a difference between the 1st Gen and 2nd Gen??....weird how your's didn't but RIPs did.

FYI...VLeds ver 2.5 now offers a kit for base waterproofing. A tube of silicone dielectric compound and heat shrink wrap...for an extra $7. Will get that too...

Ive been wondering how rips dtrl vleds look like while theyre on... Very debative on wether i should get them or not since theyre on back order. And if i do id put an inline switch to the ignition wire to shut em off if i wanna be on ocasional stealth mode at night.
