Great post. Just order my grape poly-phenol filter and will install it as soon it arrive. Question - should the engine air filter need to be change too on a 15k maintenance plan?

Good to hear man! Let us know how the cabin filter exchange goes:tup:

As for the engine air filter you can replace both of them every 30,000 miles. But I recommend doing it every 15,000 miles if you do alot of city driving, or driving on dirty roads.

It took for me a while to figure out how to take off the glove box. Tried hard to not break the tab. Thumbs up on
your socks!

Good to hear bro:tup:. I hope you didn't scratch the interior pieces either when removing the glovebox:tongue (2):

FYI everyone, I found OEM FX50 in-cabin air filters on eBay for $45 shipped. Sounds like a great buy if they are the same as the "grape" filters.

Do all the second Gen FX come with the Micro Cabin Filter? Wasn't sure if mine had it or not. I only have the premium package.

Did filter swap today. Was pretty easy. Also replace both of the engine filters (at 13k they were dirty).

Also replace wiper blades fronts and rear. Rear one took time :-( Harder than it looks.

Rear wiper replacement 1st time ever on your FX 09+ took me longer than replacing cabin air filter.

Good to hear man that my DIY helped you! It always feels better to do things yourself sometimes because you feel better about yourself at the end of the day.

How often should you replace the wipers? I rarely use mine, but they have 9K miles on them.

My dealer charges $109 for the part+installation.

Typical.

I did mine for $5.00 with an after market filter + 10 minutes.

Interesting to note, some 2003 FX45's did not come with a filter from the factory! So for me, any filter is better than OEM.... =)

Hi Fire0nic3FX,
Is the part number of the filter 27277-1CA0A? I read it from one of your pictures but it is not clear. I need it because all the ebay sellers i found ships only to USA but i need it in EU. Will try to find replacement from another manufacturer as this cost like 150 USD in our dealership:(.

Best regards

I'm sorry I don't remember the part number.

hate to ask a really dumb question, but how come no one likes to use the fram and prefers the OEM?

oh off topic question: does anyone know the size of the glove box light? does it ever turn on? neither my fx35 nor the g37 loaner glove box light turns on...
