DIY for Smoking headlights and Door Panel Removal

I'm looking to smoke the headlights on my 2nd gen. Is there a DIY on bumper and headlight removal so that I can smoke the headlights? I am also looking to remove the door panels. I want to put the LED logo projectors in them. Thanx in advance for any help.
 
There are a few threads that address your inquiry indirectly. Look for the Mirror Led mod for the door panel removal and the Bumper Removal threads to access the headlights. You can use the 1st gen methods in opening your headlights.

Thanx. Searched but couldnt find it for door panel. Even saw your thread about Marek's signal mirrors.
 
Get yourself a set of Trim removal tools (plastic) and remove the plastic push-in type clips around the door. There are a few screws that need to be removed; I believe one behind the door switch/lock/handle, inside the door grab bar (thing you pull to close the door) and another one closer to the top by the mirror assembly. Put a box underneath the door panel to help hold it up while you're doing the work.

for the headlights I would only do vinyl otherwise it may come out too dark and ruin your light output
 
When pulling the clips, make sure to get the tool right up by the clip then pry. They don't like to move sideways and will break. They'll still come out if you just yank on the door, but they probably won't go back in.
 
Nice, thanx guys. So from the reference pic, it seems to be the same as the first gen. Im assuming theres some screws behind the door handle you pull. Looks like tge cover is off in the pic
 
Trim should pop off and there should be 2 screws behind it if it's anything like the 1st gen. But most cars are very similar, so I'd be surprised if it was substantially different.
 
Ah okay.. usually "smoking the headlights" means tinting the glass…. that's why I was confused.
