Can't tell about the goodyears but my friend has grabbers on his truck and is very happy with them. I think its mostly better for dry weather.
thanks thats not a problem but would it be better for nicer ride and will it affect handling by alot(good or bad)? thanks.
comfort if what you call nice- better on bumps, bad roads
handling-your downgrading, more tire flex, bounce and etc
i would go with 45 profile if you want handling to perform little better
i still have that shimmy problem, fx still feels like its riding on ice(as in feels like the ride is slippery or sway too much and easy) when the road is bumpy or has molds.
and my threadwear on the 3 of 4 tires are 20%-30%,
so im thinking if i get 275/55/20 with lots more thread, would it help the car ride better and make the shimmy thing go away a lil?
i also alread did that tightening on the steering rack knob/screw.
i have shimmy also, people go with the 275 usually for the looks, shimmy can get worse with the 275, wider tires and more grooves it will pick up.. the 55 profile will soften a bit not so much..
Also there could be other causes, worn or busted suspension parts (bushings), or if you always hit the gas pedal, instead of slowly acclerating, you can bust motor mouts. But the steering rack will help alot but not cure the fx problem.
Hi Drac. Do you know for certain that the 275 55 20 will fit fx35 (2004) without rubbing anything or hitting on turns? Thank you so much. I need to be positive because I want the higher sidewall regardless of looks, ride, etc. Thanks again. AMyes you can but ur odometer will be off same goes with speed
