Differences between 2009, 2010, 2011 FX50 & S

2013 FX50S
Hi guys, I'm looking at FX50's and FX50S's in those years but can't find any great info on the differences of those model years. I believe the NAV screen was enhanced in 2010, electronic lift on some 2011. Am I missing anything?

The FX50S has adaptive headlights (they are also blackened a little more, less chrome), sport seats, and sport suspension, the rear wheels also turn a little to assist with cornering. The FX50 doesn't have any of that. And yes I do believe the power lift gate was added to the 2011+ models, as well as a USB port so you don't need that stupid Infiniti to Ipod specific wire to easily hook up your mp3 player.

2009-2010 had the blue and red instrument dials, while 2011+ have the white and blueish/purpleish instrument dials. Facelift on 2011+ too.

Not quite...

The red center display was 2009-2011, 2012+ is the newer white and blue display. The front bumper cover was 2012, as well.

The power liftgate was a running change during the 2011 MY; some have it, some don't.

2011 had some minor switch changes on the lower center console (heat/cool seat controls), too.

To add what's being said:

My 2009 FX50 premium/touring also has the PADDLE SHIFTERS which you can only get in the FX50S models 2010+.
I also am unsure what you guys mean by the white/red vs. purple lighting on the instrument dials. I'm pretty sure mine have purple accents

Also the 2009 iPod hookup system is stupid. They updated it in 2010. In my 2009, you can't go by letter or anything, you have to scroll to select a specific song. So, say you want a song starting with a "y"….yes you have to scroll all the way to it on the car's system.
However, I usually just unplug it choose the song and plug it back in then it's much faster.
Also it can't import my contacts, so I can't use voice command to call someone - I need to press siri on my phone then it goes thru the car.

I think they also changed some other minor things going into 2010. Like the lower dials, etc mentioned.

Also the FX50s just to clarify what Nev4self said.

the S gets adjustable suspension, with a sport option and comfort/normal option. my 2009 50 sort of just rides like the sport option on a 2010 FX50S (my grandfather has a 2010 FX50S, same color as mine, etc.) I only have 35k miles so it's not like it's "that" broken in.

The S has darker chrome on the headlight insides, which are adaptive headlights.

The S has "14 way" adjustment seats where you can adjust the bolster, length of the lower portion, and they are a bit "narrower" / hold you in the seat more than the 50 seats. (mine may simply be more broken in, but they def are "sportier" seats.

Performance is the same.

Also I am unsure which package the 360 camera comes with, because apparently my FX is non-technology package but I still have the 360 cameras. I think they changed it in 2010 to only come with the tech package. (along with lane departure, etc)

Beezer, I go to school at SUNY Buffalo Law. If you are in the area, or want to take a day trip, you can come check out my FX50.
(it's about an hour and a half drive, plus getting through customs - only took me 15 min)
I can meet you in niagara if you want…only a half hour drive or so for me.

Mine is a 2009 FX50 - premium and touring - I also have the full aero kit.
Also, if you want to wait a year I will most likely be selling it when I graduate to pay for NYC rent haha.

Thanks everyone, just what I was looking for. I've narrowed it down to two FXs. For fun & reasoning I'd like to hear your opinions....maybe this should have its own thread.

2010 FX50 $34k - 62000km Loaded, just no sport package, has all the tech, entertainment paddle shifters, brake assist LDW, ICC etc. Very rare
2011 FX50S $38k - 48000km obviously fully loaded with Sport package.

Newer, lower miles and sport package for an extra 4k is my choice. However I would get the price lower another 1k or so.

and thanks jbaker for the offer, but buying a US vehicle and then eventually trying to sell it again in Canada down the road can be problematic.

The S is actually listed at $39900, guessing I could get it for $38k, plan to push for $37k

I mean it's your money. Can you afford the one that is 4k more? if so, go for it. I don't see why not, unless it's in worse condition or the colors aren't your favorite

Get the S, it's newer, more warranty left, less miles, more options , all that for only $4,000 more. If you can afford the difference, it's a No-Brainer.

If the 2010 is at Bayview Auto sales in Belleville then it is a FX50S not a FX50, so both the cars you listed have the S package.

Ha GEE50FX, yes, Bayview auto in Belleville. But that "S" is not an "S", the previous owner added the S badge. It's a loaded 50 though, paddle shifters and all, very rare. I informed the dealer that it's not ans S and they were a little taken back.

Fake S it is, took the plunge, pick it up in a couple of weeks. GEE50FX, can you PM me, have a question for you and I'm too green on this site, don't have PM privileges yet.
